Wore this backpacking one time and we did get a significant amount of rain during this trip. This jacket worked very well. The collar prevents water from running down your back, especially if rain builds up in your hood.

  • Bob Barnacle - Solid with a few suggestions

This is a solid bag for a long weekend trip. Timbuk2 does a nice job of providing lots of pockets to stay organized. I have taken this bag on two trips, one a long-haul flight, and the other a 2-hour train ride and have had no problems carrying it on or fitting into the overhead compartments. It seems durable and is easy to access when stored. My one issue is that the backpack straps seem a bit of an afterthought. The padding is thin, and they dig in to the shoulders after prolonged use. If I could suggest any upgrade it would be to add a chest or waist strap for extra support when wearing the bag. The side-strap is thicker and a little more comfortable. The only other issue, and I'm not sure how I'd solve this, is that the laptop sleeve is a bit thin and so the laptop, when sliding around, can jab into your back. If these small shortcomings could be fixed in their next iteration of the bag it would be perfect. I took this on a 3-day trip and was able to get a suit, shoes, casual clothes, a laptop, and a book into it. It was tight but nice to know it was possible.

  • Charmed Reader - Another great Christmas read from Debbie

I love Debbie's Christmas stories. Julia's neighbor does not like her even though he doesn't really know her. She is so cheerful so early in the morning. Cain does not do cheerful. Julia wants a job and after her friend tells her to kill him with kindness she figures why not. She blogs about the experiment and finds.others that follow her blog start doing some kind things for others. It's a feel good Christmas story with the traditional happy ending. I received a complimentary book.

  • Shawn Thomas - After reviewing the book I would not recommend it to anyone

As a professor I was given this book to use in my class at a new institution. After reviewing the book I would not recommend it to anyone. I have major problems with the way the material is presented and that fact that the authors allege that the United States is a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic and while the two are similar they are very different. I refuse to use a text that contradicts my beliefs and values. This book is Rubbish on multiple levels.
